Kerce drags out the inevitable to just fever pitch before flinging them off the cliff into total satisfaction.  Her characters are interesting and realistic as is their dilemma.  The transition of friends to lovers flows well and then steams up the pages.  This is a story that shows us all how love is much more than between the sheets and how rich a relationship can be if based on respect, friendship and love.  Their physical expression is an extension of the deep love they have for each other as people as well as a man for a woman and vice versa.  The trust already established gives credibility to the immediate transition to light bdsm.  This is a keeper shelf book.
