Kayla Robard has loved her best friend Kyle Winter for years, but knows she is really not his type.  She’s hated Christmas for years, but always decorates a little bit just for Kyle.  She finds herself again trying to get in the spirit of Christmas when it will be one more that she spends alone without her beloved parents who were killed in a plane crash right before Christmas a few years before.  But, Kyle is coming over to see her before he leaves to visit his family for the holidays so here she is hanging a wreath, etc…

Kyle has tried for years to ignore his attraction and love for his best friend Kayla.  He would not want to lose that friendship if she did not feel the same or if things did not work out.  His fantasies of happily ever after with Kayla are getting hard to resist.

When he takes that step and then discovers her hidden stash of bondage novels, Kyle knows they are truly compatible in every way.

One Naughty Winter Night is a terrific addition to the Winter Studs series.  Kayla and Kyle are characters that make you want to shake them and say, “Alright, already.   Just take that next step!”  You can see where their friendship would only be enhanced by their love for each other as a man and woman.  Ruth D. Kerce drags out the inevitable to just fever pitch before flinging them off the cliff into total satisfaction.  Her characters are interesting and realistic as is their dilemma.  The transition of friends to lovers flows well and then steams up the pages.  This is a story that shows us all how love is much more than between the sheets and how rich a relationship can be if based on respect, friendship and love.  Their physical expression is an extension of the deep love they have for each other as people as well as a man for a woman and vice versa.  The trust already established gives credibility to the immediate transition to light bdsm.  This is a keeper shelf book.
